Your role

vintecc is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Vision Application Engineer who aligns with our values of collaboration, innovation, and hands-on problem-solving. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of software engineering and computer vision to create solutions that address real-world challenges across various industries.

Your responsibilities

1. Staying on top of the latest advances in computer vision technologies, especially LiDAR sensors, 3D cameras, and related hardware/software components.
2. Designing, implementing, and optimizing computer vision algorithms for real-time applications, with a focus on accuracy, speed, and robustness, and integrating them into automation projects. 
3. Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate computer vision solutions into existing and new products, ensuring seamless interoperability with other automation systems. 
4. Developing prototypes for proof-of-concept and conducting rigorous testing to validate the performance and reliability of computer vision applications. Using your hands-on skills. 
5. Collaborating with hardware providers, software developers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet customer requirements.
6. Analysing and troubleshooting issues related to computer vision applications, providing timely and effective solutions.

It would be great if you have the following qualifications

1. A bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in developing computer vision applications.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
4. Understanding of image processing, machine learning, and computer vision algorithms.
5. Familiarity with hardware integration and optimization for computer vision applications.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
8. Dutch is mandatory.

It would be even better if...

1. You have experience with edge computing and deploying computer vision models on embedded systems.
2. You have knowledge of robotics and autonomous systems.
3. You’re familiar with cloud-based services for computer vision applications.
