Squadron and Capture Enter Strategic Partnership Around Industrial Data
Roeselare, February 2026
Squadron, a digital transformation partner for the manufacturing industry, and Capture, developer of an app-based industrial data platform, announce a strategic partnership. As part of this collaboration, Squadron will integrate Capture as a fixed component of its technology stack, used to help customers unlock and leverage machine and process data in a scalable way. The first proof-of-concepts under this partnership have already been launched.
Squadron supports SMEs in discrete manufacturing in their end-to-end digitalization journey, with solutions ranging from ERP and Digital Factory applications to data-driven process optimization. Increasingly, the company sees growing demand from customers to extract more value from machine and production data. Traditional on-premise solutions often prove difficult to scale, both technically and organizationally.
“Capture provides one centralized data foundation that allows multiple applications to work with the same data points. That makes the platform not only efficient, but future-ready."

CEO, Squadron
Capture as a future-proof data foundation
Following an extensive market assessment, Squadron evaluated several alternatives, including the option of building its own platform. Ultimately, Capture was selected. The platform stood out for its flexible architecture and its approach as a central data layer on which multiple applications can be built — similar to an app ecosystem.
“Capture provides one centralized data foundation that allows multiple applications to work with the same data points,” says Francis Heyse, CEO of Squadron. “That makes the platform not only efficient, but future-ready. Data capture, storage and accessibility are already in place, allowing us to introduce new applications — including AI-driven use cases — without having to rebuild the foundation each time.”
Accelerating projects and focusing on value creation
Within Squadron’s technology stack, Capture functions as a standardized layer to unlock data directly from the machine level. On top of this layer, Squadron builds integrations with ERP systems such as Microsoft Business Central, as well as its own MES solutions and operator interfaces. Thanks to built-in industrial protocols and the platform’s ease of configuration, projects can go live faster.
“What previously required extensive customization and complex integrations can now often be handled through configuration,” Squadron explains. “This enables us to focus on use cases and business value rather than infrastructure and technical complexity.”
Focus on production, quality and field service
The partnership initially focuses on two clear application domains. For manufacturing companies, the emphasis lies on traceability and quality control, including tracking process conditions, operator actions and production steps. Real-time insights and rapid feedback loops help operators and process owners adjust faster and more effectively.
For machine builders, field service forms a second key domain. Capture enables monitoring of assets in the field, access to historical machine data per installation, and better preparation and faster execution of service interventions.
First proof of concept underway
The partnership goes beyond strategic intent. Squadron and Capture are currently working together on a first proof-of-concept focused on spray quality monitoring. Within this project, Capture’s reporting and alerting capabilities are being tested, with strong attention to usability for operators and maintenance teams.
Low entry barrier, room for customization
According to Karel Viaene, CEO of Capture, the collaboration aligns closely with the evolving role of system integrators in industrial digitalization.
“Capture is designed as a platform that is largely ready to deploy,” Viaene says. “For integrators such as Squadron, this means a solution that is about eighty percent usable out of the box, without heavy setup or integration efforts, while still allowing room to build proprietary applications and customer-specific added value. This makes the platform particularly suitable for bringing SMEs into digital transformation in a practical and scalable way.”
Outlook
Over the next 12 to 24 months, Squadron and Capture plan to further expand their collaboration, introducing new use cases including energy monitoring, OEE calculations and enhanced operator interaction.
Thanks to the scalable data foundation, applications can be tested and rolled out across multiple machines and sites without repeatedly rebuilding the technical base.
